Cascades International XCO Momentum #3

Cascades XCO international event was the last one of the series and we were expecting many more internationals on the start line. This added to all the excitement and nerves to come, giving one a test run of what world cup would be like.

The course was designed by Nick Floros, one could truly see how much time he had spent on the track. It gave challenges to each rider, pushing each limit of the riders as they rode the course.
On race day the excitement bubbled and the nerves were there too. We lined up on the line with 29 pro-elite women all ready to take on the challenge that would prepare us for world cup.

Unfortunately I snapped my back derailer on the second lap and with the fantastic help from our mechanics Bjon at the technical zone. I was able to try regain the time I lost with another derailer, but the front leaders were a bit too fast and my race came to an end quickly.

But one cannot blame the machinery as it happens, the important part is to keep my head up and give full attention on the World Cup this weekend!

I’m very excited to be participation in the MTB World Cup this weekend. The course is terrific: fun but challenge. Where my weapon of choice is the BMC Fourstroke FS01, the best bike for the course (to me!)

I am ready to take on the challenge and give it my very best!
