MTN Hilton Dirt Festival Marathon
This weekend I took part in the MTN 50 Miller Marathon. The
weather working up to this weekend was not looking good and could be a repeat
of Hill2Hill that took place last weekend. But when Sunday morning arrived the
sun was shining and it looked like it was going to be a great day on the bike.
We had a great line up amongst the ladies, which meant there
was going to be some exciting racing.
Due to the rain build up during the week there was quite a
bit of sticky mud along the route, which made it more challenging but added
some fun as well.
I had a good race, was a great route set out for the
marathon. With single track and open roads giving the riders a bit of
everything. I could feel the legs were still recovering from Hill2Hill (the previous
weekend) but otherwise I had a great time out there. I managed a 3rd in the senior cat!!
A big well done to all the BMC riders that participated!!!!!
And thank you to everyone for all the support out there!!!!
I will then be taking on another first for me, as I will be
doing my first stage race The Isuzu 3 Towers.
